(More customer reviews)This multimedia storage shelving is made of quality materials and the finish is good and apparently durable. Construction is easy, taking less than half an hour, start to finish. The completed piece is quite sturdy and capable of being completely filled without risk of sagging shelves or, even worse, collapse.
I have two quibbles. First, the back panels, while made of sturdy composite wood ("Masonite") are attached to the frame with a multitude of small nails. Unhappily, the nails provided are just a bit too small for the task. It is perilously easy to bend them when tapping them into the hardwood of which the remainder of the shelving is made.
Second, the spacing of the shelves is such that, when configured to hold DVDs, there is some wasted space. In my case, it created a place to stash my remotes. Others will find similar uses, I'm sure. Still, the case would have a more professional and attractive appearance if the spacing of the shelves were calculated to distribute the extra few inches equally across the whole cabinet. Doing so would not lessen its capacity when used for CDs.
Apart from those minor complaints, this is a reasonably priced and well made piece of furniture. Highly recommended.
