(More customer reviews)First of all, the picture on Amazon is wrong as this isn't an open side, open back shelf. That's my fault for not paying closer attention. For the price, I wasn't expecting much, what was delivered was even less. The top of the media shelf is a nice, big, heavy hunk of wood. However, that's where it ends. The rest of the shelf components are thin and flimsy. The legs aren't true so the rack won't sit flat even if you try and wrack it back into shape.
However, the real irony is that UPS finally delivered a package that wasn't crushed, ripped, or torn and yet the shelf was still beaten to a pulp. The contents weren't well packed very well and they slid around in the box causing a lot of visible damage.
This is the last time I buy something site unseen. Even without the damage I wouldn't rate this higher than a 2 because of the cost. Way too expensive for what you get. I can forgive fit and finish issues and product short cuts given a certain price point. Heck, even Sauder can do better than this for half the price (and I hate pressed, laminated wood). I could just kick myself, however I lack the sufficient flexibility to do so....
