(More customer reviews)The shelf looks ok from a distance but the back is actually black cardboard. It is VERY unstable. It's dangerous really but too costly to return. We put the heaviest items on the bottom and lightest on the top but it is really too tall and narrow to be safe. I would not recommend this to anyone that ever has children or pets in the house.
