It seems they could offer a choice in putting it in the left side instead of the right side, but really would be nice if it were in both sides and even in the horrizontal support tubes.

The price that was offered at $349.99 but I found it at competitors for $190. So I emailed the company and much to my amazement they gave it to me for $185. Just like their policy was stated. Then the stand arrived damaged and again they stood by thier policy. They sent me out a replacement part. During this whole process the company was in constant contact with me. Very prompt emails and extremely helpful.

Stellar Series 2-SHELF Video Table Review

(More customer reviews)This is a very good quality TV stand of metal and glass. The metal is properly painted and sturdy, and the glass is thick and of high quality. It's well packaged for shipping, and it takes only minutes to set up. Amazon's price is hard to beat!
The lower shelf is at a fixed height, and since there's no middle shelf it offers plenty of height and adequate depth for a big A/V receiver, and it's wide enough for most everyone's components. The overall height of the stand is lower than most, which works well with a larger TV, say 65" or bigger.
The only complaint I have...and it's a nit...is that the tiny plastic cushions to insulate the glass from the metal aren't up to the task for the top shelf. Under the heavy weight of the TV they or the glass squirts out. I just tossed them, and have had no issues with the glass sitting on the metal frame.
It would be nice if Amazon also stocked the black version of this stand which the manufacturer makes. Most black TVs and black A/V components have metallic trim, so this one's aluminum color paint never looks out of place. But I can see that the black stand could look better in some decors.

(More customer reviews)I received my stand today. Overall, very positive impression. As others have mentioned, it's is fairly easy to put together. I have seen a few other cheaper stands and the quality difference is obvious. What I really like about this stand is that there are very few pieces. The center portion you see is essentially one piece. The grating on the back is already in tact. The build is very solid and the stand is sturdy. The overall look of the stand is sleek and professional.
I had the unit shipped to me from Amazon via FedEx. Not as many issues as one of the other users. However, the bottom flap was open, but nothing was missing.
My main concern with the unit is the cable management system. Cables from dvd players, etc. slip through the holes visible in the picture. These holes are well protected, with rubber pieces so wires are not severed. However, the second part of the cable management system are vertical covers, which have slits in them at the top and bottom. My two concerns are that the metal edges are not covered (they are not sharp, but probably still should be covered with something) and that the slits are too shallow, not allowing thick cables to be put inside the covers. However, the cables can be placed on the outside of the covers and zip ties can be used to secure cables to the cover.
My only gripe is that there was some paint chipped on one of the glass-holding lips. This is not visible when all put together. I know I'm nitpicking, but you have to with as much as it costs.

(More customer reviews)Overall, I'm satisfied with the unit, it seems to be well made and looks great. The descriptions matched to my expectations and despite other reviews indicating damage due to insufficent shipping protection, everything arrived in good condition. A couple of observations for those considering the unit: First the minor ones: (1) it is VERY heavy, I'm not looking forward to moving it in the future (but this also speaks to the overall quality); (2) the assembly instructions are pretty cryptic but once you get the concept, you can see how the whole thing is engineered; although, I ended up with extra pieces (I assume Salamander provides extras "just in case" and a couple where I had (and still have) no clue what to do with. For the major "gotcha": it's a real pain to try and get everything adjusted correctly, as the shelves, doors, and feet are all movable'adjustable; this part has been the most time-consuming (literally hours) so be prepared with a good level (the one Salamander provides is so small as to be useless)and lots of patience.

Salamander Chameleon Geneva 221 Twin-Width A/V Cabinet (Medium Walnut) Review

(More customer reviews)The Salamander cabinet is an outstanding product. It is large enough to hold oversized components and the finish is beautiful. Solid as a rock. The ventilation panels are terrific, as well. The IFR repeater unit is necessary because of the solid doors, but be very careful with the wiring; dividing the ends to accommodate two components managed to remove the wire covering very easily.
My main concern was with the fit and difficulty of assembly. The screw for one of the legs was very difficult to set in place, and the back panels are very hard to insert. It required extra tools, and a large wrench to get the leverage necessary to turn the screw. Little details, perhaps, but an extra 30 minutes wrestling with three parts was a frustration. Thus, 4 out of 5. I don't look forward to having to remove the back panels for any wiring changes, which inevitably will happen.
Once assembled, though, the product is just what I was looking for. Well desgned for use and it looks great.

The directions did not have words just pictures and the parts are stickered with numbers but do not show you up and down like most things made by Linon do. It looks nice and well made when put together it was just hard for me to get it done. It holds my 42inch LCD with no issue. : )

(More customer reviews)The Novia 8426 from BDI is a handsome unit. Absolutely solid. It arrived very well packaged in spite of some rough handling from both the shipper and myself. This is due to the unit being extremely heavy It took the combined efforts of my wife and I and my neighbour and his wife to get it into my house-by sliding, not by lifting. Assembly is a snap taking only a few minutes using the tools, including a Phillips screwdriver, supplied with the unit. The finish on the unit is very good but not perfect. There are a few small imperfections on the solid wood border of the top. The compartment for hiding the subwoofer works well. Doors fit well and move smoothly.
All in all I am very happy with this cabinet.

(More customer reviews)I have a projection screen painted wall, so this stand works well for me because of its low profile and open design for better electronics cooling. I've had this stand for over a year now without issue.
The top-most height is under 20 inches, there is 8 inches (or slightly more) vertically between shelves, 38 inches wide between supporting leg pipes, 18 inches deep with 9 inches between pipes, and 1 and 3/4 inches underneath the bottom shelf. The black tempered glass is thicker than average at 5/16 inches.
I didn't have the missing parts issue that the other reviewer had and setup was fairly straightforward (1-Put glass down on feet; 2-put posts, back-panel, and shelves down; 3-cover with top shelf and post caps). Well, alright, instructions were a bit vague (although not worse than other self-assembly products I've had).
All in all it is a very nice stand.

TechCraft Mahogany Colored Credeza Style TV Stand Review

(More customer reviews)This TV stand is excellently made. It came from Amazon in a flat box, and I had to assemble it. Assembly was straightforward, using a hex wrench that they supplied and a Philips screwdriver. Once put together, it was solid, with no wobbliness at all, and a beautiful wood design. The four drawers close flush against the front of the cabinet and open and close very smoothly. The glass platform separating the two parts of the 36" wide area for equipment is really solid and thick. There are three possible heights you can choose from to place it at. Even the back wall of the furniture, which, being thinner than the rest, usually is just nailed in when I get stuff from other manufacturers, had 12 holes for screwing in small screws and matching holes in the back of the main part of the stand. It really looks much better than the price would suggest. It took a couple of hours to put the thing together, and we are very satisfied with it.

Bell'O WAVS326 Transitional Styling Audio Video Cabinet in Wood Finish (Carmel Brown) Review

(More customer reviews)After much searching & review reading, I decided on this TV stand/cabinet for my new 46" HD TV.
The stand came almost completely assembled. After figuring out how the rest of the stand went together(by the instructions) it was quite simple. It has a unique fastening/locking system that made it easy to assemble. I was almost able to put it together myself except for 1 step where it was helpful to have a second person. I did have to insert some pieces of wooden matchsticks into a few of the dowel holes because they went too far down into the holes & there neeeded to be enough of the dowel sticking out to attach the other cabinet piece to. I have the option of either using the glass doors or replacing them with the included wood panel inserts. It has a place for a center channel speaker on the top shelf to be hidden behind a fabric grill. My only problem with the grill is I wish it was attached & folded down instead of having to be completely removed. It has magnets on each end & it takes a bit of getting used to pulling it off & putting it back on. Fortunately I don't do this on a regular basis.
It loses 1 star in construction, however because the wood finish is easily scratched or worn off. The company does include a brown marker to touch up any imperfections or damage.
All in all this is an elegant,well constructed,easily assembled,piece of furniture & I would recommend it.
