(More customer reviews)I do not typically post reviews, but realized during my researching of this product that no sites had any reviews on it. Here goes...hope this helps someone else.
Took a chance and purchased this unit to house a 42" plasma TV (60+ lbs) in my bedroom corner & did not want a stand w/ too much wood that would compete w/ my cherry-ish wood furniture, yet would still match close enough. I also needed something that was tall in height, as my bed is tall. After MUCH research, this was essentially the only stand that fit the height criteria & only had slight wood in front w/ the look of floating glass shelves.
The appearance is GREAT! Color matched very well to my furniture (fairly true color match to what you see online) and TV looks great in corner. Glass shelves also add a great look without being too modern.
The issue I have is quality. For something that costs in the $200+ range, I expect good quality.
1) I had to exchange my first shipment because the wood legs were a bit damaged in front. 2) I received my 2nd exchange shipment days later (Thx, Amazon!!) but even with this, the newer wood legs came just slightly damaged/not sanded on 2 corners. I decided to live w/ the slight damage as it's hidden enough and I REALLY wanted this stand to work for me. Also, the small middle shelf mirror had some lines etched into it that can't come out (was NOT dirt - definitely inside glass). Luckily, I still had the 1st package at home and swapped out the middle shelf mirror from that package and it was great. Had this not been the case, I think I would've given up on the entire system - though it truly looks great! Also, the unit is slightly rocky w/ my heavy TV on it, though it supposedly could withstand double that TV weight. I suspect that any stand would rock w/ a heavy TV but I won't be rocking it so should be stable & just fine!
Also, set up took about 1-1.5 hours. Not too bad at all, but just requires patience & inspecting each piece you get.
To sum it up...unit looks great and you might take a chance w/ what quality parts you get in your shipment, but it should all work out with some patience and Amazon's great policies!
