(More customer reviews)This was the first Tech Craft product that I purchased. It was easy to assemble and looks REALLY GOOD. The outside pieces that are seen such as the top and front are wood and are very attractive. The "guts" of the frame are made of MDF and are very solid.
Doors fit well and the hinges are nice, with a quiet close feature.
The shelves have two hole positions. I put my A/V receiver on the bottom shelf and there is only about an inch to spare above with the shelf on the top position. It would be nice to have more holes drilled for greater flexibility with shelf height. Many A/V receivers run hot and need proper ventilation.
Packaging was excellent. This was a major concern for shipping of very heavy items. One interior panel has a long scratch in it, but it wasn't something that could be seen when assembled.
They do an excellent job with construction. The holes are drilled VERY precisely which makes everything line up evenly and also makes it easier to get the screws in. I have assembled units from other manufacturers and don't recall any of them being as good as Tech Craft. The screws didn't strip either, which is common with other companies.
I would definitely recommend this product as well as other Tech Craft items. I have another credenza from them which we are also happy with.
