(More customer reviews)Unfortunately the item was sent by Amazon thru UPS which brought it to me smashed to bits inside of an open and damaged box. 85 pounds of shattered glass. I called Amazon right away and the service rep apologized profusely and immediately ordered a replacement promising the problem would not happen again. The next business day the replacement arrived, this time in an intact box but inside the stand was again in thousands of glass shards. Amazon processed a refund to my account within 6 hours.
However, it was left to us to dispose of the broken box (huge) and the glass 85 pounds x 2 now. Once the box is opened it is impossible to seal back up so the glass must be shoveled out and put into other boxes and resealed for the trash people. A terrible dangerous and backbreaking job.
I don't know how the Bello company can pack this item so poorly. It consists of 3 large panels of what they call "safety glass" but which shatters into thousands of tiny shards, with a smaller very heavy metal panel leaning up against the panels. Any shifting of the 85 pound box (2'x 5'x 10" approx) and the metal panel will bump up against the glass panels and will crack and shatter them. The box must be handled by 2 people carrying it flat side up as stated on the top of the box. Have you ever seen UPS carry items that way? If you want this item, it would be best to get white glove delivery which was not offered with this purchase.
