(More customer reviews)This cabinet is much better than I expected. The wood finish is very nice, inside and out. The inside surprised me. It isn't finished like the outside, but it still appears/looks like wood. Unlike other assemble yourself furniture I have had in the past, This went together very easily. Rather than trying to thread screws into particle board, anchors had threaded sockets in each hole. Even the back panels are solid and look and feel like wood, not cardboard.
A few key points that I couldn't seem to find answers to before ordering mine.
There is glass in the doors behind the wood grids. I wasn't sure when I ordered mine.
The product description says it is for televisions up to 42". I think they say this because the cabinet itself is exactly 42" wide. However, a 42" TV is not 42" wide because the screen size is measured diagonally. I have a 46" TV and it is actually just under 43" wide. When you assemble the cabinet, there is actually a sticker on the back that says the cabinet is for up to 40" plasma televisions not to exceed 175 lbs. When trying to determine if this is a good size cabinet for your TV, I would go by the width and the weight. My 46" television is much less than 175 lbs, and it matches the width of the cabinet (exactly 42") almost perfectly. Even a larger TV, as long as it is within the weight restrictions, would probably be okay if you don't mind the TV being a little wider than the cabinet. Even with it tucked in the corner, you have a lot more than the 42" width of the cabinet to accommodate your TV.
It also has plenty of room inside. I was a little concerned before ordering mine that the fact it was a corner cabinet would prevent it from being deep enough on the sides for some of my components, but that is not the case at all. Even my largest components fit easily on each side.
My one complaint is the doors. The hinges were already attached to the cabinet and to the doors. You just slip them together. The left door on mine is just a little bit high and the right door is just a little bit low. There isn't any obvious way to adjust them aside from removing the hinges and repositioning them, which I am somewhat hesitant to do. It would have been nice if the hinges were slotted where the screws attach so you could have loosened them just a little bit, adjusted the hinge, and re-tightened them.
