Furnitech 62 inch Transitional console. (Wenge Finish) Review

(More customer reviews)We got this console because it had plenty of spaces for the audio and visual equipment that we owned for home theater. A BIG plus is it's height, putting the flatscreen up higher for better viewing.
It took a while for the delivery, probably had to get a fully loaded truck to ship it from N. Carolina to IN. However, the delivery men brought it inside the house, assembled the drawer/door handles for us and offered to put it wherever we wanted it. We had only expected them to bring it inside the front door. Delivery was on a Saturday. We appreciated the service, as this console is HEAVY, nearly 200 pounds! It was wide enough for our 58" plasma, but a 65" could also be placed on it as well.
The center channel space was perfect for placing our center channel speaker as well as the Blu-Ray player and a CD player. The lower side shelves held the receiver, VCR, and other items nicely. You have to load the shelf items from the rear of the console as the door hinges would interfere from putting them in from the front. The back panels slip out and have holes for running the wires out the back of the console.
One drawback is that the glass windows are somewhat small and the full width of the receiver cannot be fully seen thru the window. The volume has to be adjusted "by ear" rather than viewing the indicator on the volume control. Otherwise, all other functions are visible.
This console comes in two colors, a light wood and Wenge. We ordered the Wenge and it is very dark, In a normally lit room, it nearly looks black, but you can tell it has a tinge of red to it, like dark mahogony. It blends with our other furniture nicely.
Overall, we are pleased with this purchase. This is a real piece of furniture, not a "slap it together" laminate product. And it looks it too, very nice quality console!

(More customer reviews)My wife and I love this stand. It is very large. I am a gamer so I have a lot of stuff that I needed to put on our TV stand. This stand holds everything we had with room to spare. We have a 46" TV on it. It can hold much larger TVs but it still looks good with the 46" on it. The only downfall is that all the shelves are clear so it doesn't hid much. We were able to tidy up the wires with zip ties and by using the wire runs in the back 2 legs.

(More customer reviews)Originally I felt like the item was going to be very nice but after having it up on the wall for about 2 months the arm doesn't hold the TV straight anymore. The piece that attaches to the studs in the wall is level and in very sturdy but the extending arm is slowly leaning down and it's an LED tv...not heavy. When chatted with a customer service rep at Amazon (the seller) below is what happened.
[executive summary: nothing, no number to call, a cust serv rep that couldn't do anything, and a pending email I may never receive....oh I did lose $89 out of the deal and a 35 min chat session to boot]

Sanus Systems TV-LCDB Swivel Base for 13" to 30" LCD Displays Review

(More customer reviews)When I found out my TV did not swivel yesterday, I searched Amazon for a swivel base and this is pretty much the only one I could find. I have a Vizio 42" LCD and was a bit disappointed when this was labeled for only 13" to 30". From looking at the specs though, the 20"x14" size was perfect for my 42" TV's base (which is around 15"x15") and the listed 75 lb weight limit was just enough for my TV's listed 67.9 lb weight. I ignored the 30" max size and ordered anyway, overnighted. This stand works perfectly with my 42". The swivel motion is smooth, non-fussy, and quiet. It's profile is small and the base looks great, blends in well with the rest of my entertainment center. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a bigger flat-panel TV in need of a swivel base.
One thing to note is that while Amazon lists the weight limit as 75 lbs, the back of the box for the stand lists weight limit at 150 lbs. Enjoy. :)

Techcraft Veneto Series SWP48 TV Stand Review

(More customer reviews)Once I got it all assembled, I am pleased with the product.
It has clean lines, great wood grain and color. It really looks like furniture you would purchase from a furniture store. I've put 2 coats of Old English furniture polish on it already :) and I am very pleased.
I found the installation instructions a little "abstract" at first, but once I got out all the parts and matched them up with the pictures, the concept come together. I would recommend that you DO NOT use a power screwdriver tool, due to the screws are pretty soft and may cause stripping the screw heads--all are Philips screws.
I found no damages but that could be because I went to the Circuit City store and picked it up myself, rather than it being shipped via ground shipping to me. The outer cardboard box it comes in is not heavy enough for something that weights nearly 100 pounds. The box is too flimsy to take much rough handling. I can see if it has to endure much handling in shipping, the outer cardboard could weaken and become mashed.
It took me between 1 and 1.5 hrs to assemble, but I took a few breaks in between.
Based on the cost and it's style, appearance, and functionality; I would definitely recommend it to others and would consider purchasing similar pieces from Tech Craft.
