Cambridge TV Stand - Cherry Finish Review

Arrived in good condition. Small split topside veneer + big scratch on 1 plexiglass window.
Assembly was easy for 1 person - took under 2 hours to complete. Looks good with 58" flatscreen, and my center channel fits (barely) in the center shelf (the key reason for purchasing this model).
Design probs: Once you install doors there is no way to remove them to install an electronics component with the standard 18" width. The door hinge pins should have been designed for easy removal. Instead I had to unbolt the top panel of the unit to remove the doors (and first move the 100lb unwieldy tv). A huge p.i.t.a. for what should be simple door removal.
Secondly, the doors are constructed so that there is no manner to remove the windows without breaking/damaging the door itself. The windows should be removable for ease of cleaning - for easy replacement (with plexiglass, glass, frosted glass, colored glass, speaker mesh, etcetcetc).
I'd like to meet the morons who designed the doors and kick them directly in the genitals for being absolutely incompetent.
Otherwise, the unit is looks nice. Its sturdy and holds a fair amount of stuff (remember to load everything & wire it all before installing the doors).

The only thing I might like to have added is some magnetic thing to keep the doors from being so easily opened by my toddlers.

Pinzon Griffen Hardwood Plasma TV Stand Review

(More customer reviews)For those of you looking to purchase a TV stand... do not purchase this stand. The total package weight is about 125lbs and the packaging being used to protect the entire unit is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. The corner protectors were paper thin, the surrounding foam was about a 1/4 of an inch thick. I received my unit with the doors ripped from the hinges, the top of the stand smashed in and the backing was missing screws and coming off. Word of advice... you get what you pay for when it comes to furniture and purchasing online. I am going back to the furniture stores... where I should have been in the first place.

(More customer reviews)I would definitely buy another one of these. They fit the bill perfectly for a stand that is not intrusive into your room but still can hold enough equipment.
I've had two of these, one with a 32" lcd in my kids room. The space is a little limited for components. He has a cheap stereo, xbox 360, cable box and DVD player and still not cramped for space. The other has a 145lb 50" plasma mounted on it. We have a 45lb receiver, xbox360, PS3 on the bottom shelf, dvd player & sat box on the top shelf. There is a good bit more room for components than it looks like.
This thing is great because you can tilt the screen up and down as well as left to right. If you have the height off just a bit two people can readjust that without removing the TV from the stand.
The only complaint I can even think of is that there were some bolts missing from the package and the holes in the bottom of the back bone were filled with paint. I had to purchase a tap from the hardware store to clean the holes. I am sure omni mount would have replaced the missing bolts but for less than a $1 worth of hardware I just picked them up at the local hardware store. I believe there was a design change but they forgot to change the hardware packs. Both stands were purchased about a year apart and each is slightly different but they both had the exact same screw and bolt packs.
These sell locally for more than amazon lists them and they are hard to find. The stands I found in the big box stores don't hold a candle to this one for build quality and sturdiness. I was not happy with any of the stands I found in the local stores.

Richland Corner Wide screen Tv Cabinet Review

(More customer reviews)The Richland Corner Wide Screen TV Cabinet is a great addition for my family room. White finish with no nicks or blemishes (with the exception of one "warning" sticker that gave me a fit, off now - no remaining marks).
The cabinet comes ready to assemble, the pieces and fasteners all seem to be quality (as far as put together yourself furniture), heavy pieces. Although it was time-consuming (about two hours total), the finished piece is solid, level and heavy.
If you are looking for a tall, attractive, corner TV cabinet, for a reasonable amount of cash (I paid $290), then this may be the item for you.
