One thing though...while reading the instructions, it seemed like this mount needed some serious base to mount onto. This really turned me away from using it, plus they do not provide any hardware. You'll need to be a little crafty, and go to the hardware store to purchase mounting hardware. You do NOT need this to mount your Ergotron arms!

Also the metric sized hardware requires a metric allen wrench which they provide, but it is not hardened and quickly rounds over when fastening the screws into studs. Be prepared to improvise.

OmniMount Flat Panel Floor Stand with Universal Adapter and Shelf - FSUA-B Review

This is my second Omnimount stand/mount. I will say outright that their customer support is excellent. They are fast to answer, patient, courteous, and fast to resolve.

My last Omnimount mount was a cantilever architectural series wall mount. It was strong, attractive, and neat with the cable management. It even supported rotating into portrait mode without dismounting the display. The instructions were great and included a drilling template with an integrated folding dust catcher. Very well executed.
The Bad.
This stand on the other hand, had very poor instructions. They were of the "picture only" variety to save in translating and printing costs. Several grip pads were included but not referenced in the instructions requiring some guesswork.
The head had a fixed portrait or landscape positioning which was disappointing as I expected this much more expensive unit to have a mount head similar to the cantilever unit. Furthermore, the "lift n' lock" is much much more difficult to use than on the cantilever model and requires the unit to rest on the threads of the fixed bolts of the mounting head, risking damaging them. These bolts are also too close to the tilt mechanism's bolts to tighten with a HDTV in place without serious hand dexterity.
Finally, the TV mount head bracket was manufactured too small to slide over the top of the pole as indicated on the instructions requiring assembly at the final resting height to avoid scratching up the polished pole. This will also complicate disassembly, if necessary.
If the head had been of the cantilever's design and the head bracket had fit the pole properly this would have been a five star product despite the poor instructions which only frustrate during assembly.

I painted the cord covers with the same color paint as the wall and from 6 feet back you cannot even see! The level mount customer service is 24/7 and since I did have a minor question I called on a Sunday morning and had TV mounted by noon. Just in time to watch the Chicago Bears (loss).
Best of all these 3 components purchased separately at a big box electronics store would be over $200. I got for less than half.

(More customer reviews)Low to medium quality, the lock nuts that hold the arms in place are hard to loosen once you tighten. The arms are not really that long so you don't get really good adjustment like other models. I have several other types of monitor arms throughout my office so I have experience with other single and dual monitor mounts like this one. I also bought the laptop mount and arm kit as well it too is the same low to medium quality. I mounted a 24 inch HD monitor to it, the mount kit did match up well to the monitor so that was the one positive item I found about this unit. The 24" monitor is way too heavy for this unit even though it says it will handle one. If you're planning on anything larger than a 20" this is not to product. This would be a good unit if you on a tight budget but if not spend a little more. If I could return it I would.

I was looking for a very slim mount with no tilting. This on was the choice. It could be slimmer, but for the money, its what I expected. This thing if VERY strong. 4 lag screws are provided and mounting into the studs, I think I could have hung off the mount and I'm 225lbs. Installation is very easy. Just find the studs and level the wall plate and the hard part is over. There are little yellow clips that keep the TV from pulling off the wall. They look small and cheap. But when I tried to take the TV off to hide the wires, I couldn't get the dang thing off!!! Those clips will hold it for sure.
Be warned. With this mount, you may not have room for your cables. I had planned for this and mounted a wall box right behind the HDMI inputs to make it work. For me, the shallower the mount, the better.

(More customer reviews)I looked at all of the local stores in the area and all mounts were 3 to 4 times more expensive. I ordered this mount and found it very easy to install with all necessary parts plus a small level. I mounted a 55" Samsung and with the help of my wife, placed the TV on the wall. Tip: You may need to use some washers or spacers on the back of the TV if the screws are a bit too long. If you don't have them at home, any hardware store will have them. Just mount the brackets onto the back of the TV first to see if you need them. I just added a few washers under the head of the screws that attach to the TV and all was fine.
Buy or rent a few videos with the money you save!
I did not use the tilt feature althhough it is there if ever needed. The tilt feature can be used for installing additional cables and then the TV can be pushed back to a vertical position. The TV hugs the wall very nicely just as the "no tilt" models do.
Distance from wall to back of Samsung: Approx. 2 inches. Just right for the cables and power cord which are wall mounted behind the TV. They run up the wall behind the drywall.
After mounting, the TV can be slid back and forth about 8" along the rails that are on the wall. This allows installation flexibilty if you need to center the TV in a spot where the wall studs do not line up with the exact position where you want the TV to be.

Also, buyers should clearly understand that you cannot swivel the monitor with this mount - in order to switch between portrait and landscape mode, you must remove the bracket mounting plate from the back of the monitor and reinstall it in the other mode; otherwise the hooks that attach the monitor to the bracket wouldn't work (they slide into the bracket vertically.

(More customer reviews)Ok I don't know where to start, as far as pieces go everything ever needed is included as far as mounting different Tv's. The top bracket tilts for use on a vaulted ceiling however you can't get the screw tight enough to stop the tilt, which makes the tv look like it's taking a nose dive. The joint where the bars meet the swival bar is for junk, it bends alot at this joint, and no it's not supposed to bend. It hooks to the tv wonderfully, however the tv seams a little top heavy. We have the back bracket up all the way (on our 50 inch tv) there is a tilt divice but it is NOT needed because the tv tilts/pulls away from the top of the bar. The bar is in no way straight up and down. The tv sits at a tilt of more than 15 degrees without the tilt device tilted any. The 360 degree swival works but as you turn the tv around the bar freaks out and makes you think the tv is going to hit the floor. I would not purchase this again, and now we have nothing to hang our Tv. I guess the biggest mistake in the design are the bars, there just not right. Sorry cheetah company but I just couldn't give this a good review. However if you reemburse me I'll give you as a company a good review.

AVF EL404B-A Multi Position Dual Arm TV Mount for 25-Inch to 40-Inch Screens (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I looked around quite a bit for a mount that I wanted. I wanted tilt and I wanted the articulating arms. Since I have a 400 x 200 VESA TV my options were limited. I decided on this one because it had prime shipping and some decent reviews. I should have read the reviews more carefully. (Pros and Cons at the end)
I'm a guy, so when I open up a project I want to figure it out and complete it on my own, then read the instructions. But this time I decided to give the instructions a try first. As another reviewer pointed out, THE INSTRUCTIONS HAVE NO WORDS ON THEM. Step 1 has 3 options you should use depending on your TV's VESA setup. I picked mine and installed it as pictured. It was frustrating that I couldn't tell where the top of the TV is on the diagram though. I found out I had set it up upside down so I had to take it off and put it back on. A simple word like TOP or BOTTOM would have been useful in this diagram. (For those of you who get it, the yellow clips go towards the bottom.)
So I got it all attached to my TV and they tell me to bust out a leveler and make sure the bracket your screw into the wall is straight. I proceed to do that and I'm pretty close to dead center and drive those long screws in. Then I put up the articulating arms which were a simple installation. All that's left is to attach the TV to the mount. I step back knowing I did everything right according to the instructions, feeling good to knock out a project (30 minute installation), and I realize my TV is not straight. But I did everything right, what is going on? So I adjust the tilt screws (to tilt it you must use a 10mm socket or wrench to loosen it, tilt it, then tighten it into position) thinking it might have been something I did wrong. Then I realize there is some play in the bracket. At least a few degrees (in the 85-88 degree vs. the 90 they claim). The fixing project may wait for another weekend, I may add some cushion underneath the area with play (the top of the bracket attached to the TV), or I may just take it apart and set it straight. If they had some words in the instructions both of the pains I experienced would have been avoided.

Tilting difficulty (use some type of ratcheting screw instead of the nuts/screws).
The play room which set it off center.
Overall it's a good and sturdy product. -1 star for the lack of clear instructions, and -1 star for the play room and the tilting. I'd still recommend and purchase this product but keep in mind what other reviewers and I have said. To the manufacturer if you fix these things you'll have a 5 star product.
