(More customer reviews)I've had this unit for over a year. I did not buy it from Amazon because I found it $100 less elsewhere (they no longer had price matching). I absolutely love the unit. My HD tv fits perfect on top, DVD, VCR, stereo in shelf right below, side panels hold DVD's and remotes.... The stucture is solid and easy to put together. My original shipment came with two cherry panels mixed in with the oak I had ordered. The supplier was horrible - couldn't make phone contact, then when I finally got through they never produced the correct panels. I called the company I purchased the unit through and they made contact & got me the correct side panels. My children and I especially enjoyed it this winter, the flames are pretty and adjustable. The heat can be turned on seperately with or without the flame and it warms the room great without having to heat the whole house. The heat and fan adjust too and are quiet enough to allow listening to the tv at a comfortable level. I've received tons of compliments from guests.

(More customer reviews)Looks are oftentimes deceiving, and in the case of this particular media shelf, that is all too true. What you don't see is that this unit is not really made of real wood. You can't really know that you're probably going to split the "wood" when putting it together because it looks fairly sturdy from the ad. No wonder it comes with a blemish cover-up marker...
All of that aside, it's not a bad-looking piece. And it's a pretty good price for what you get. You may want to find something a little sturdier if you plan to store only DVDs on it because it is prone to tipping over easily. But it's slim and doesn't take up much space, which is good.

(More customer reviews)Unit is well made, and looks like a fine piece of furniture. It has lots of nice features and fits my center speaker. Problem is getting one undamaged. This unit is very heavy, and the freight company did not take proper care, as evidenced by the condition of the box, and the fact that they stood the box on end, even though the box says not to do that. Inside the truck, there was a large screen TV wedged against the unit at an angle -- going right through the box. First delivery was severely damaged, and quickly replaced by Amazon. Second unit was in better shape, but not perfect -- needs some touch-up. If you do get this unit, get it from Amazon, as they will treat you well if you get a damaged one, as the exchange was as good as one could expect. Of course, there is the matter of unpacking, and repacking -- not trivial with something this big. Best unit in it's class based upon my research.

(More customer reviews)A very nice table. Assemble was easy, with the exception of the plug that keeps the drawer from falling out. Also the farther you pull the drawer out the more it sags down. This can be fixed by gluing a couple of pieces of wood to the inside frame of the nightstand.

(More customer reviews)Over the past year I've discovered that it can be an arduous task to find quality media storage, and I can assure the curious consumer that price is no indication of quality. These Windowpane shelves, however, retail for around $150 and I've been reasonably pleased with them.
The finish is very nice, it's nearly black with a subtle woodtone, and the unit as a whole just looks great. The sliding glass doors work well, though items placed in the middle where the two doors intersect are difficult to access.
The one major quality complaint is that the shelves will slightly bow over time, especially if they're used to hold television DVD sets (which I do). Most media storage units are actually designed with compact discs in mind, so if you stock them with DVDs you find the bottom shelf will be too small to stand the DVDs up and you'll have to lay them on their sides. This one, however, holds all of the DVDs perfectly upright as it's supposed to.
I agree with the reviewer here that it's a good idea to buy locally if possible, the packaging isn't very protective. Assembly time will be approximately an hour, possibly shorter if you're accustomed to assembling DIY furniture.
As always, buyer beware! I bought another media storage unit from Atlantic thinking it would be the same quality as this one, and it most certainly was not (the unit I refer to is the Atlantic Drawbridge - Media storage cassette, VHS, DVD, CD, you can read my review of that piece of trash by following the link).

Solid Hardwood 12" Center Channel Speaker Stand Review

(More customer reviews)Upgrading from a large rear-projection TV to a plasma meant that I could no longer place my center channel speaker (Ohm Walsh Center) atop my TV. In looking for a center channel speaker stand I looked for one that would match the black, wood grain finish of my speaker, have an angled platform to aim the speaker at my ears when seated in the viewing chair, spikes to provide a solid, stable connection through the carpeting, be low enough so that the top of the speaker would be beneath the TV, and low price. The Solid Hardwood 12" model fits the bill in each of these cases. Note that the picture in the description seems to be for a 16" tall version, not the 12" version I purchased. Assembly was pretty simple. The finish is just okay. Nobody will mistake this stand for fine furniture. But with the speaker placed on this stand, the overall look is quite acceptable for the price. Most important, it is solid, stable, and easily supports my center channel speaker. The top plate is wide enough to accomodate most center channel designs. Although there is a groove built into the back of the stand to hide speaker wires, it is narrow, so if your speaker wires are thick, you will not be able to utilize this to conceal your speaker wires. Recommended.

(More customer reviews)I've had this filing cabinet and matching desk for about 6 months. Both are still in great shape and are very well made. The top piece of wood is at least an inch thick and is very heavy. The entire cabinet weighs about 100 pounds, but the advantage is that you get a high quality piece. My girlfriend sits on the filing cabinet when I'm working at my desk and doesn't even budge. My only complaint was a damaged piece and Bush Furniture customer service sent me a replacement for free with 2 day express shipping, no questions asked. After that I would definitely stick with Bush Furniture for future purchases.

The plastic dowels are difficult to get into the pieces, but can be done. Mounting on the wall was easy. Putting the item together was easy - I did it by myself. It looks really good in my entryway. The only thing is that with all the pushing, some of the wood laminate gets knicked a little but they include a wood marker to hide any imperfections!

Univ Flt Wall Mnt for 10-42IN Screen with vesa 75/100/200 &200X200MM Review

(More customer reviews)The mount is well constructed and provides for a number of different vesa screw patterns. We were able to mount the wall plate to a vertical stud in the wall which made for a very secure initial placement. The attachment plate which connected to the back of the LCD attached easily and sturdily as well.
The "blind faith" part of this story comes when attempting to attach the LCD (which in this case was a 37" Olevia 537H, a relatively hefty-weighted unit) to the plate on the wall by trying to line up two small grabbing hooks on the LCD plate to the matching small receiving holes of the wall plate.
After a number of attempts "blindly" trying to estimate the matching placement and hoping the hooks would find their home, we were successful and VERY tired and felt as though we struck a bit of luck! The set screws have an awkward tightening with a VERY long allen wrench, but when all was said and done, the LCD seems secure on the wall.

Beautiful Unique Affordable Flat TV Stand - 42" Hokkaido Japanese Design Lantern Lit Console Table - 5 Colors Review

(More customer reviews)I orderered this unit for my 42" flattie. It was shipped very quickly, which was great. On its arrival, however, I made the following observations: the unit had numerous scratches (some large) and spotting on it, there were a few screws missing, the assembly was more complex than you'd think looking at the picture, and the assembly instructions were useless. While we were putting the unit together we found some of the veneer sort of flaking off and what was essentially press-board underneath. Also, when it's all set up, the electrical cord hangs straight down and is visible behind the table. We had to use some plumbers tape to conceal the cord behind the back panel or the visual beauty and concept of the table is ruined. (The product description says to use a standard bulb, but doesn't mention that any wattage over 15 or 20 might burn a hole right thru the top of the table). It would have been nice if they'd included wood plugs for the screw holes which are kind of gaping eyesores. Also, the table's weight and structure are not really enough to support the weight of a TV so we had to ground the tv to the wall with a wire to be sure the table could not fall over. THe good news? THe unit is very beautiful visually. If I weren't lazy about such things I would have returned the unit but it will suffice for now. However, I won't order any other products from this company. Even at the reduced Amazon rate, the item is way overpriced for what it turned out to be. So as I said, very pretty, but really cheesy construction.
