The glass shelves give it a clean contempory look. It was easy to assemble and it holds our TV, VCR, DVD, Cable box and accessories. There is plenty of room on the bottom shelf for a DVD and a VCR. The wood was in perfect condition--no scratches here. I LOVE IT! So glad I bought it. Shipping was pretty fast too.
