I thought I was ordering a cheap "this will do in the meantime" tv stand as a transitional piece of furniture, but it turns out, the product is incredibly sturdy (and slightly heavy) tempered glass with equally sturdy steel legs and brackets to hold the glass in place. My only wish is that I bought the four-tier instead of the 3-tier because I'd like to have a taller stand, but at a price less than $30, I can't complain one bit for the deal I scored! I highly recommend this product.
*One note on assembly: you'll want to measure the glass to find the center so that you can position it with equal hang in the front and back.

Vantage Point AXWG03S Audio/Video 3-Shelf System Review

(More customer reviews)This was one of the biggest mistakes I've made concerning the installation of my plasma tv on the wall. I only intended to use two of the three shelves and then I only had a DVD player and a HD satellite receiver. The shelves were more than adaquate to hold what I wanted to put on them, but the channel in the back was useless for my two items. I used a HDMI cable for one component and a composite video (5 wires) for the DVD player. The power cords for each wouldn't fit into the channel and the pin wasn't able to be placed at the top.
I wasted the money I spent on it and finally just screwed two of the shelf supports that came with it to studs in the wall and purchased wiremold surface mounted plastic raceways to cover the wires. I'm happy with my solution and it looks Good. If the channer were large enough then this system would be good.
The channel is only big enough for a power cord and speaker wires and nothing else.
A BIG Disappointment. Of course once you get it mounted, you can't return it because it's used so you're stuck. Good Luck

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Wall Cube as I needed a compact, modern stand to put my dvd player and pvr in. Most tv stands were large and bulky, which was unsuitable for a small, contemporary apartment. The setup was easy, the expresso colour beautiful, and the quality seems durable. Unfortunately for me, however, I decided against mounting it on the wall due to the lack of studs in the area of wall I wanted it on, and so instead used it as a floor tv stand (separate chrome legs can be purchased through local hardware store), which works as well. All throughout this process, the Cambre customer service, especially Lisa Jensen (Account Manager), was exceptionally helpful - from helping me find out whether the item was in stock in my area, to giving me measurement information and setup tips. Nice product - just make sure you have double studs located on exact location of wall if you want to mount. Wall cube can be shifted a bit to right or left after mounted, but for me, the distance was too long.

We hung our flat screen television on the wall and needed to connect our stereo receiver, cd player, dvr and blue ray. We did not want to purchase a large piece of funiture to house all of these components. We ordered this wall unit and received it within a week. This unit was very easy to install, includes a cover to hide the wires and shelves are very sturdy to hold all the weight of our components. I would highly recommend this mounted shelving unit. Wouldn't recommend hanging this in the reach of small children.

(More customer reviews)The shelf is sturdy and works just as expected. But without having a glass on top, it is difficult to get certain items to fit. Ex. I tried to set my Directv receiver on it (non DVR). It is too small and wont fit well. Then I put my old DVD player on it and the legs on the buttom of the DVD player interfer with the legs of the shelf. I can push it back, but it doesn't sit even. My new DVD player which is compact and small doesn't really fit either and just doesn't look right. Perfect for LARGE AV components.
The shelf would work well for LARGE items, but for compact items it isn't centered, or is just plain hard to fit.
No exactly what you plan to put on it.
But it was easy to install and it is very sturdy. Can easily hold heavy or stacking items.
It would be perfect if:
1. It had a glass/ plastic shelf to set on the mount.
2. It didn't stick out as much.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this item in 2004 as a gift for a family member. The family member recently decided she didn't want it so my husband installed it in our game room this weekend. Unfortunately the L-shaped bracket was very slightly bent. We didn't notice it until the TV was placed on the tray. It doesn't take much of a level problem to make the TV look off-kilter. We temporarily fixed the problem by adding a "shim" made from a small velcro stick-on pad. I called Orbital's customer service number today and they are mailing me a replacement for the part that was bent. That is excellent customer service! I had told her that it had been more than a year since it had been purchased. Even without the replacement part, we were able to get the TV balanced adequately but now it should be perfect.

Sonax ML-1220 Black Three Shelf Component Stand Review

(More customer reviews)Although it was easy to assemble despite inadequate instructions, the fit and quality for the cost is ridiculous. In this "Two hundred dollar" AV stand, there is about twenty dollars worth of painted particle board and glass shelves along with five dollars worth of hardware...and that is being generous. I do the majority of my shopping online and most of that is here on Amazon and am generally pleased with the products received. But this is the first time ever for me to feel so compelled to write a product review. Granted the picture looks good and the design is pleasantly contemporary, yet what you'll receive after paying your $200 is far from what you see here.
For the price paid, I assumed that this would be a quality piece of furniture. Not so. The fit where the particle board shelves join the side and rear supports is nowhere near acceptable. There may some nice way over-sized plastic hole liners for equipment wiring, but there is no space allocated behind the rear vertical panel. You must move the stand away from the wall to make room for cables which you must figure out how to secure. Everything does have a value though...in this case...maybe $39.00. Please, please, please heed this warning and don't waste your money. Both this company and Amazon should know better than to peddle this kind of junk.

(More customer reviews)It's cost more than a regular wall mount plus components shelves but it's well worth it. Only ONE stud is needed and very sturdy. With help of a friend, the 40" Samsung LED is now hung beatifully in the bedroom with no cluttering wires/cables.
One thing to keep in mind, it mainly designed to hang LCD TVs, not LED. So if you want to hang your LED TV like what I did, you have to go to a local home improvement store and find two metal bars with holes and mount them on the TV first because the distance between the top and the bottom screws are longer than the wall mount.

(More customer reviews)I was initially excited about this product. It seemed to be the best 3 shelf wall mount system; it's not. Though I've not found an alternative yet, I'm looking. The reason behind my disappointment is that the shelves are unrealistically shallow. One needs to consider that the depth of each shelf is shortened when one considered the cables that have to come out of the back of the receiver. For example, an HDMI cable is a high end thick cableand it needs about 1.5" of rear room to be plugged in and bent down or toward it's souce. If you use good speaker cables like Monster, the same holds true, so one looses shelf depth because the distance that the cables use coming out of the back of a receiver wasn't properly accounted for. Perhaps for a home theater in a box it would work fine, but for anyone who has a regular receiver, forget it! Even my DVD player barely fit on it! With home theaters evolving quickly, the consumer needs a true multi shelf wall mount system that accomodates a regular receiver, DVD player & cable/SAT box, as well as a center channel shelf. Well, that and a couple of bucks will get you on the New York subway...

(More customer reviews)I just put up this unit and installation was easy (came with instructions unlike other poster's experience). The unit is well made, strong, and has ample room for running cables through the center channel and access holes. The only drawback is the depth of the shelves are somewhat short for components that are deep and/or require additional depth due to larger cable plugs (like HDMI cables).
I plan to make some wooden covers (to sit on top of the glass shelves) to provide the extra depth I need.
I would recommend that you simply measure the depth of your components first, including the length of your longest cable plug to ensure this unit will work for you. Otherwise, you will have the front feet of your audio/video components dangling off the front edge of the shelves.

Cheetah Mounts AS3S 3 Shelf Wall Mount Bracket for LCD, LED and Plasma TV with Cable Management System Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this unit after seeing the reviews of the OmniMount which looked very similar. Below are the steps I took to get a huge bundle of wires cleanly running through the cable channel (will post pics shortly):
1. Place the device on the glass and run the cables through the routing hole.
2. Align the device where it will sit.
3. Mark the cables running through the hole with a line across all of them to mark where they'll be tied together.
4. Remove device, repeat 2,3 for other devices on other platforms.
5. Route all of the cables as previously marked, zip-tie'ing them togther as they work up (or down) the back of the cable channel.
I have the following sitting on the platforms:
1. Mac Mini
2. Panasonic Blu-Ray player
3. HD Tivo
The Tivo is the only device which extends past the glass, however all feet remain on the surface.
Highly recommend this mount - I have 13 various cables going through the channel (coax, power, ethernet, optical audio, dvi), with a little bit more room left.

OmniMount TRIA Adjustable 3-Shelf Wall Component System with Cable Management Review

(More customer reviews)I was really hoping that I could work with the covers to hide the cables. I'd read the reviews that said the covers were a challenge, but I really thought I'd be able to work with them.
I was so wrong.
First, there truly is just not enough room behind the covers. Due to the design, I simply couldn't run the cables I need - and I only have a TiVo and a DVD/receiver! (I ended up putting my Wii on it, also, but at that point there were so many cables hanging out it really didn't make a difference.)
In addition to that, the plastic from which the covers were made was far too hard for this application. The covers can't be bent enough to allow you to easily push and pull cables as you need to. A softer plastic would have been more appropriate.
And, as others have mentioned, getting the covers on and keeping them on is a serious challenge. I literally had bruises on my hands and arms where I was pulling, shoving, and pounding. I ended up using a towel to insulate the covers from the impact of the hammer I had to use to get them in place.
Other than the cable covers, though, the unit is solid and well designed. The fact that you can place the shelves at any level you like is very shiny. It really is a pretty set of shelves.
Not so pretty with all the cables hanging out, though. Since that's the reason I bought them, I can't give it more than 2 stars.
I'm now looking for something large to set next to the shelves so no one can see all the cables hanging everywhere. :( More money spent - I should have just bought more expensive shelves.
*sigh* And the marketing pics made it look so nice...
Oh, and one suggestion: measure your components. These shelves are actually ~17" wide and you have about 13-14" of depth, at most. I made the mistake of trusting the dimensions listed on the description. (I think that's the packaging's size.) My DVD/receiver unit is constantly sliding off because the feet hang over the front. I'm going to have to find some rubber pads to put under it to hold it in place.
