Stellar Series Av Tower Review

(More customer reviews)Overall this is a well designed product that does the job it was designed for in an efficient and unobtrusive way. The one problem with the design is that the rear feet are two small diameter leveling screws... Instead of bare metal the heads of these should be nylon and much larger diameter to protect the floor or carpet. The front feet, by contrast, are large and made of nylon for good protection. The assembly instructions are rather cryptic, and the illustrations are tiny and dark... hard to read. I have uploaded some photos to amazon so as to show various stages of assembly that are puzzling (but Amazon scrambled the sequence of these fotos, so they are not in order). Be sure to start all screws carefully because this is soft aluminum alloy, and you don't want to cross thread the screw holes! I have also uploaded a photo showing physical dimensions of the shelves. In summary, large receivers and Blu-Ray DVD players will fit with room for the cables in the back. There is a 50 pound load limit per shelf, except on the bottom shelf. I did cuss a bit during the assembly process, but the finished product is great.

Vantage Point AXWG03B 3-Shelf Glass Wall System Review

(More customer reviews)We have a flat screen LCD and thought this shelf system would be ideal to mount below the TV. We needed something that could handle the cable box, an XBOX and a DVD player, while managing all of the wires. Mounting was easy enough, provided you have a stud in the vicinity. We did, so no problems there. Drill a few holes and you are all set with the verticle part of the unit. This part, however, has a small (very small) groove in the back for wire management, but it is too small to be practical. Alternatively, the wires can be run along the front groove where the shelves mount, but because of the delicacy of the shelf mount, this is not recommended. More specifically, the shelves mount to the verticle beam via a small plate sized barely right and two tiny allen screws. While this has proven sturdy enough to handle the DVD player and the cable box, the shelf with XBOX has literally fallen twice, crashing down onto the floor (the temprered glass shelf survived and did not shatter). My wife is pregnant, and if we had a crawling baby around, this could have been a disaster. Consequently, I will be getting rid of this shelf system once the baby is born.
In short, for very light duty in an adult home where wire management is not important, this unit is fine -- it looks good and is easy to mount. But if you have greater expectations, spend the extra money and get a higher quality system. I wish I had.

Sanus Systems VF2012-B1 Single Column Wall-Mounted Furniture Component Shelf Review

(More customer reviews)Installation has some problems. When placing the bolts be aware that you can't use the full left/right of the bracket holes. Place the bolt to either side will result in the bolt head hitting the back of the vertical unit and preventing it from fitting. Also don't tighten the bolts too tight or the vertical unit won't slide on the bracket. I ended up having to put a big washer between the wall and the bracket.
The glass shelves aren't attached. They just sit on the brackets with a small opposing lip at the back. This makes the shelves very shaky to left/right motion. Not very stable.
The wire chases are too small. I have a cable box, surround sound unit (6 speaker wires), XBox 360, PS2 and HDTV. About 2/3 of all that cabling fit in the chases. So now the install looks sloppy.
For the price I wouldn't recommend this.

I thought I was ordering a cheap "this will do in the meantime" tv stand as a transitional piece of furniture, but it turns out, the product is incredibly sturdy (and slightly heavy) tempered glass with equally sturdy steel legs and brackets to hold the glass in place. My only wish is that I bought the four-tier instead of the 3-tier because I'd like to have a taller stand, but at a price less than $30, I can't complain one bit for the deal I scored! I highly recommend this product.
*One note on assembly: you'll want to measure the glass to find the center so that you can position it with equal hang in the front and back.

Vantage Point AXWG03S Audio/Video 3-Shelf System Review

(More customer reviews)This was one of the biggest mistakes I've made concerning the installation of my plasma tv on the wall. I only intended to use two of the three shelves and then I only had a DVD player and a HD satellite receiver. The shelves were more than adaquate to hold what I wanted to put on them, but the channel in the back was useless for my two items. I used a HDMI cable for one component and a composite video (5 wires) for the DVD player. The power cords for each wouldn't fit into the channel and the pin wasn't able to be placed at the top.
I wasted the money I spent on it and finally just screwed two of the shelf supports that came with it to studs in the wall and purchased wiremold surface mounted plastic raceways to cover the wires. I'm happy with my solution and it looks Good. If the channer were large enough then this system would be good.
The channel is only big enough for a power cord and speaker wires and nothing else.
A BIG Disappointment. Of course once you get it mounted, you can't return it because it's used so you're stuck. Good Luck

(More customer reviews)Shelves are very well made for the price. Assembly is easy, but, there are two bars that run through the entire unit, that tighten and hold it together. One end has a flat cap screw top, which screws into the top of the bar, bottom is tightened with an allen wrench, screw top (which is supplied). Problem is you can't hold the flat top screw cap in place when you tighten the bottom one, leaving the whole unit loose. I called company and they said they were changing this in new models and they sent 2 more allen wrench tightening screws caps for the top. Once new screw tops arrived, it made a difference, but still heavy glass shelves are a 'bit loose'. Probably needs additional washers around shelves to tighten the whole assembly up.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Wall Cube as I needed a compact, modern stand to put my dvd player and pvr in. Most tv stands were large and bulky, which was unsuitable for a small, contemporary apartment. The setup was easy, the expresso colour beautiful, and the quality seems durable. Unfortunately for me, however, I decided against mounting it on the wall due to the lack of studs in the area of wall I wanted it on, and so instead used it as a floor tv stand (separate chrome legs can be purchased through local hardware store), which works as well. All throughout this process, the Cambre customer service, especially Lisa Jensen (Account Manager), was exceptionally helpful - from helping me find out whether the item was in stock in my area, to giving me measurement information and setup tips. Nice product - just make sure you have double studs located on exact location of wall if you want to mount. Wall cube can be shifted a bit to right or left after mounted, but for me, the distance was too long.

This unit was very easy to install, includes a cover to hide the wires and shelves are very sturdy to hold all the weight of our components. I would highly recommend this mounted shelving unit. (More customer reviews)The shelf is sturdy and works just as expected. But without having a glass on top, it is difficult to get certain items to fit. Ex. I tried to set my Directv receiver on it (non DVR). It is too small and wont fit well. Then I put my old DVD player on it and the legs on the buttom of the DVD player interfer with the legs of the shelf. I can push it back, but it doesn't sit even. My new DVD player which is compact and small doesn't really fit either and just doesn't look right. Perfect for LARGE AV components.
The shelf would work well for LARGE items, but for compact items it isn't centered, or is just plain hard to fit.
No exactly what you plan to put on it.
But it was easy to install and it is very sturdy. Can easily hold heavy or stacking items.
It would be perfect if:
1. It had a glass/ plastic shelf to set on the mount.
2. It didn't stick out as much.

(More customer reviews)After searching and reading reviews, we decided to purchase the Omni-Mount TRIA Silver with clear glass shelves. We needed shelving to go under our wall-mounted flat-screen TV. These shelves, which are designed for lightweight components, work well for this purpose. As other reviewers noted, they will NOT work for small TVs or anything too heavy.
The product arrived in a nicely engineered, well-packed box. We weren't impressed with the instructions - each page is multi-lingual and the pictures are small with poor resolution. That being said, the product itself installed quite a bit easier than we expected and looks really nice.
We found the shelf depth adequately deep for stereo components, DVRs or DVD players. The cord management system was pretty straightforward, and we particularly like that the covers are paintable. We painted the cord covers and the cords coming out of the bottom and going into the outlet. The end result is a very clean, minimalist look for TV or stereo components.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this item in 2004 as a gift for a family member. The family member recently decided she didn't want it so my husband installed it in our game room this weekend. Unfortunately the L-shaped bracket was very slightly bent. We didn't notice it until the TV was placed on the tray. It doesn't take much of a level problem to make the TV look off-kilter. We temporarily fixed the problem by adding a "shim" made from a small velcro stick-on pad. I called Orbital's customer service number today and they are mailing me a replacement for the part that was bent. That is excellent customer service! I had told her that it had been more than a year since it had been purchased. Even without the replacement part, we were able to get the TV balanced adequately but now it should be perfect.

(More customer reviews)It's cost more than a regular wall mount plus components shelves but it's well worth it. Only ONE stud is needed and very sturdy. With help of a friend, the 40" Samsung LED is now hung beatifully in the bedroom with no cluttering wires/cables.
One thing to keep in mind, it mainly designed to hang LCD TVs, not LED. So if you want to hang your LED TV like what I did, you have to go to a local home improvement store and find two metal bars with holes and mount them on the TV first because the distance between the top and the bottom screws are longer than the wall mount.

OmniMount TRIAP Adjustable 3 Shelf Wall System w/ Cable Management Review

(More customer reviews)I was initially excited about this product. It seemed to be the best 3 shelf wall mount system; it's not. Though I've not found an alternative yet, I'm looking. The reason behind my disappointment is that the shelves are unrealistically shallow. One needs to consider that the depth of each shelf is shortened when one considered the cables that have to come out of the back of the receiver. For example, an HDMI cable is a high end thick cableand it needs about 1.5" of rear room to be plugged in and bent down or toward it's souce. If you use good speaker cables like Monster, the same holds true, so one looses shelf depth because the distance that the cables use coming out of the back of a receiver wasn't properly accounted for. Perhaps for a home theater in a box it would work fine, but for anyone who has a regular receiver, forget it! Even my DVD player barely fit on it! With home theaters evolving quickly, the consumer needs a true multi shelf wall mount system that accomodates a regular receiver, DVD player & cable/SAT box, as well as a center channel shelf. Well, that and a couple of bucks will get you on the New York subway...
