SEI Walden Classic Mahogany Electric Fireplace Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The item was shipped and delivered properly. I tried to use it in the family room which has high-ceiling. The heat from this fireplace did not even reach 5 feet from the fireplace. I had to return it.

Southern Enterprises Inc. Walden Electric Fireplace Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I shopped online a long time for a small, white finish fireplace to replace my old electric Dimplex stove. It was complicated to put together, and I paid a handyman to do it. I like the fireplace, but I resent it too. It has only yellow flames....there's no red at all. It looks completely fake, because a fire is red and yellow. If I'd known this, I wouldn't have bought it. If the description had just said "only yellow flame" I would have looked for another with red/yellow flame. And it's so much trouble to ship back, I can't return it. Why would it not be made to have a small red, and a small yellow, bulb? On the plus, the heater works well, the remote is easy, and the white finish is attractive with my white woodwork and windows and doors. The Sylvane company who made it provided no rememdy, but offered a $75 card credit, which was good of them. But I'm still seeking red, in some way.

Bionaire BFH5000-UM Electric Fireplace Heater with Remote Control Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)The fireplace works fine in it's most important aspect: generating heat. It has a stylish, very contemporary design. The glass front is thick and smooth and you don't need to worry about cracking it. The blue backlit display turns off after a few seconds which is nice. Great remote that supports all functions. There are a few annoyances that were weighing too heavily for us and made me return it, though: First, since the unit is only a few inches deep and it is either wall-mounted or on the stand there is no easy way to hide the cord, which really spoils the appearance. The fan is a little noisy and keeps on running even when the heat is turned off, probably to cool the two lamps and to generate the light effect. The "crackling wood" sound effect sounds hollow and thin but can thankfully be turned off. Finally, the light effect is not realistic at all, just a waving background.
If you don't mind these annoyances, it is a good product.

For instant warmth plus ambiance, this electric fan heater features realistic glowing logs and embers for the beauty of a fireplace without the hassle of cut wood, an open fire, propane, or fumes. The unit requires no installation and can be placed in any room with its sturdy floor stand or wall-mounted with the included hardware. Simply plug it in and turn it on. Heat emanates from vents below the glass, quickly heating up the room, and the realistic flame effect can function with or without the heat. Push-button controls and an easy-to-read programmable digital display makes it effortless to operate. The unit's thermostat allows for setting the fireplace to a comfortable temperature, while its 12-hour on-off timer can be set to preheat a room or to automatically turn the heater off after a specified amount of time. In addition, the unit's remote control works great for adjusting the temperature from across the room. Safety features include tip-over protection and overheat protection, which automatically turn the heater off if it accidentally gets knocked over or starts to overheat. With its sleek modern design, the fireplace heater measures 31-1/4 by 4 by 23-7/8 inches and carries a one-year limited warranty.
