(More customer reviews)I have been looking for a wooden folding TV tray with a raised lip for several years now. Although I bought this item sight unseen, I did research it on the manufacturer's site and thought it looked fairly well built. Unfortunately, while the legs and edges of the TV tray are made of bamboo, the tray itself is made of plastic laminate. This was not indicated on either website. The most disappointing problem is that the tray wiggles from side to side with the slightest touch. Definitely not good for serving beverages with kids or pets around. The legs are made so they can not be tightened. Too bad, since it is a lot better looking then the old fashioned metal trays that rust so easily.
1/13/11 Well I had the tray for several months now. It totally collapsed on me. The bar that holds the legs to the tray came off. My handy husband sanded the ends of the bar and re-glued it back together. Now its much sturdier than it used to be. Still too expensive for what you get... don't buy it.
