(More customer reviews)We got this fence, along with one extra panel, to keep our baby daughter away from our wood stove. It also ended up being very useful at Christmas time for closing off the end of the room where the tree and presents were. The hinged sections, along with the fence's rigidity, make it very versatile in closing off larger areas. It is also the only fence we found that seemed attractive enough to leave up in our living room for a few years. The fence also comes with hardware to attach one or both ends to a wall, making it more secure.

(More customer reviews)I ordered two of these to block my dogs out of the dining room. My dining room entry is over 6 feet wide, and two of these worked perfectly (they are not straight across but they fold out nicely together to create the illusion that it is all one connected piece). Previous to receiving them, I was going to bracket them together- but there was no need as they stand up easily on their own. They are light-weight, which makes them easy to move and fold up if need be (like when we have company). Although- I have left them up and received compliments about how nice the gate is. They are a dark mahogany/cherry color and they match my dining room furniture set perfectly. They also have a cedar smell to them, which was a nice surprise. My small dogs (one is 6 lbs. the other is 23 lbs) do not knock them over, and I have not had any accidents in the dining room! SUCCESS! I would not recommend for rambunctious dogs that jump over gates or knock things over. I saw these gates on-line for over $200 and almost purchased one... thank goodness saw this before placing my order!
